Events: BRAND ACTIVATION
As the exclusive skincare provider both in-flight and on the ground, Sunday Riley partnered with United Airlines for an in-person activation at Newark Liberty International Airport. The two-part activation included a wellness experience at United’s Newark Polaris Lounge, as well as two gifting experiences on flights traveling from Newark to LAX.
The activations transpired surrounding the opening of the redesigned Newark Polaris Lounge, as well as the debut of the new co-branded amenity kits with AWAY Luggage. The objective for both activations was brand awareness and new client acquisition.
The two-part campaign focused on energizing tired-looking eyes on the ground and hydrating skin in the air with award-winning products that refresh and replenish the skin’s moisture barrier, including Auto Correct Eye Cream, Pink Drink Essence and ICE Ceramide Moisturizer.
At the Polaris Lounge, Sunday Riley provided skincare consultations and customized facials, product sampling and education, branded lattes and thematic cocktails, and take-home samples tied to promotional discounts.
On-board, 650 passengers flying from Newark to LAX were surprised with a curated selection of Sunday Riley in-flight favorites to arrive at their destination looking refreshed. The gift bundles included multi-SKU product samples, branded educational collateral with a 20% bounceback code to shop directly on sundayriley.com as well as a co-branded SRxUnited pin.
The products sampled were chosen to help passengers stay relaxed and refreshed during their travels, so they could exit the aircraft looking and feeling their best.
