Marketing: Direct Mail Campaign

WAKE FOREST ATHLETICS

Each year, the Wake Forest University Athletics Department sends out a season ticket renewal direct mailer. Wake Forest Men’s Basketball was going through some rebuilding years, causing attendance to drop and ticket sales to suffer.

The challenge presented was to create a direct mail design that would help excite and motivate fans to renew their annual season tickets and attend games.

In order to show fans that they were a vital member of the team, and highlight the new Wake Forest Basketball’s Nike jersey design, the solution was to create a custom die line that folded out to a life-size Wake Forest basketball jersey with the recipient’s name on the back.

The direct mailer received an overwhelming response, with 99% of recipients renewing their season tickets.
