RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

On a seven-acre site near downtown Houston, Hope Farms grows affordable fresh produce for Houstonians, trains and mentors new urban farmers, and provides a place for everyone to learn about and celebrate food, supporting Recipe for Success Foundation’s efforts to teach, empower and inspire healthy eating in a powerful new way.

A popular venue for intimate dinners, private cooking classes, and charity fundraisers, Hope Farms was forced to pause all major events in the midst of the pandemic. Despite this, Hope Farms became inundated with requests from Texas brides looking for a unique and covid-friendly location to tie the knot.

Given the outdoor nature of Hope Farms, it was an obvious strategic pivot to debut the Farm as Houston’s latest micro-wedding venue. The urban farm, part of Recipe for Success Foundation programming, now offers an off-beat setting for smaller affairs and intimate weddings.

To show off the property’s range of services and wedding packages, several preferred vendors were invited to the Farm for a “Bubbles & Brides” Instagram Live event. Broadcast through an Instagram Live feed, Hope Farms Founder, Gracie Cavnar acted as MC and interviewed event professionals offering advice on everything from arrivals, decor, catering, and entertainment in a socially distanced environment.
